Yay! Boston!

Countdown: One more full day until my first vacation without the family since married life/ mommy-hood.  I am going to Boston to see my cousin.  This was supposed to be an amazing get together of what my family calls The Three Musketeers.  I have two cousins that were born the same month as me.  We were very close in childhood but have not all three been together in 11 years.  Alas at the last moment one of us had to cancel.  Sad, but I am still going and going to take a million pictures and go to a bunch of fun places.  Yay!  I am so excited.
I am also taking two projects with me for the flight and any time that I am just sitting visiting.  I need to have my hands working on something.

Emily's slouchy hat:  I have some sock weight yarn that is really pretty kind of cream green pink stripe heater thing.  Anyway Emily saw it and wants a slouchy hat so I am making that.  I am having fun with it changing a basic dc slouch pattern had to get some texture in it.

Man's winter cap:  I don't know the man's name who is ordering this one, it is my mother's chiropractor.  All he wants is a black/grey wool hat for winter.  I have the perfect yarn for this one.  Peace Fleece in Father's Grey.  I love the olive undertones in this yarn.  I also enjoy doing a sc simple cap so this should be fun, quick, and easy.

I think these two are perfect for travel, kind of no brainer patterns just to keep my hands busy in airports and while visiting.  I don't think I'll have all that much time to work on them there as I will be seeing a new city.  Can you tell I'm excited?
